MICHIGAN DEMOCRATS SOLIDIFY THEIR MOST RADICAL TICKET YET
El-Sayed, Benson, and Brinks: Bernie, AOC, and Mamdani’s Michigan Recruits
SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI — Michigan Democrats are gathering in Lansing today to make it official — and oh, what a ticket they’ve assembled.
Meet Michigan’s most radical Democrat slate in state history: Jocelyn Benson, Winnie Brinks and Abdul El-Sayed. Three candidates. One radical agenda. Zero clue what Michigan families are going through.
For eight years Michiganders have lived with the consequences of failed Democrat leadership. They had the power. They passed their agenda. And what did their agenda deliver? Michigan now ranks 46th out of 50 states overall. We rank 45th in education, 43rd in our economy and 42nd in infrastructure. Our fourth-graders rank 44th in reading.
Michigan Democrats looked at that record and doubled down.
Jocelyn Benson and Winnie Brinks aren’t a break from the failed policies of Lansing. They ARE the failed policies of Lansing. And with socialist Abdul El-Sayed joining them on the ballot, Bernie Sanders, AOC and Zohran Mamdani couldn’t be more proud.
Even Michigan Democrats are sounding the alarm. Democratic Attorney General Dana Nessel skipped today’s convention entirely, saying she doesn’t feel safe or welcome at her own party’s gathering and raising serious concerns about antisemitism within the Michigan Democratic Party. This is the most radical Democrat ticket in Michigan history, one so extreme that antisemitism now has a seat at the table and even Michigan Democrats are walking away.
“Jocelyn Benson promises a new direction but she and Winnie Brinks have been part of the leadership that got us lost in the first place. Michigan is on fire and the Benson-Brinks B-Team is running on gas can policies. They are the most radical ticket this state has ever seen — representing everything that has driven Michigan to 46th in the nation: more government, more reckless spending and more control over your life. They offer socialism. We offer freedom. They offer continued decline. We offer hope and a path forward. Jay and I are fighting for common sense, lower costs, safer communities, better schools and a Michigan where your family can actually build a future. Michigan families are begging for change, and we’re ready to deliver it.”

- Stripped local communities of control over massive wind and solar projects.
- Michigan’s income tax rate increased under her watch.

- Hates America, hates Michigan, and hates Mackinac Island.
Michigan Democrats Are Doubling Down on Radical
Jocelyn Benson isn’t running to change direction in Lansing, she’s running to finish the job of running Michigan into the ground. Winnie Brinks spent years rubber-stamping the radical agenda that helped get us here. And with socialist Abdul El-Sayed rounding out the ticket, Michigan Democrats have made one thing clear: the far left isn’t the fringe of their party anymore. It IS their party.
John James and Jay DeBoyer are offering Michigan a fundamentally different direction: COMMON SENSE. ACCOUNTABILITY. RESULTS.
Michigan cannot afford their radical agenda. It’s time to STOP socialism and SAVE Michigan.
