MICHIGAN FARM BUREAU ENDORSES JOHN JAMES FOR GOVERNOR

Farm Bureau Backs James’ Commitment to Put Michigan Farmers at the Table

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI — Michigan Farm Bureau’s AgriPac has endorsed Republican nominee John James for Governor, citing his commitment to partnering with Michigan farmers, improving the state’s economic climate, and changing the culture of state regulatory agencies.

The endorsement was driven by Michigan Farm Bureau’s grassroots process, which relies heavily on input from county Farm Bureaus across the state according to a Michigan Farm News article.

“Michigan farmers deserve a government that treats them as allies, not adversaries. As Governor, I will make sure the people who know agriculture best have a seat at the table, restore local control, and bring a concierge-based approach to compliance. I’m honored to earn the support of Michigan Farm Bureau and ready to work together to make Michigan the best place to farm, build a business, and raise a family.”

— John James

“John James brings an unwavering commitment to partnership with the food and agriculture industry, a focus on changing the culture of state regulatory agencies and improving the economic conditions facing those of us producing the state’s food, fiber and fuel. Our organization is ready to put in the work to help ensure Congressman James is successful in November — whether it’s placing yard signs, having meaningful conversations with family and friends, or hosting and attending events — we’re ready.”

— MFB President Ben LaCross

James’ running mate, State Representative Jay DeBoyer, added:

“The largest farm organization in Michigan has now joined our state’s largest law enforcement organizations in endorsing John James because they know he will restore common sense and local control. While Jocelyn Benson and the radical left expand government overreach and treat farmers like obstacles, John will treat them as partners, stand with law enforcement, and fight for the people who keep Michigan safe, strong, and moving forward.”

— State Representative Jay DeBoyer

The Michigan Farm Bureau endorsement comes as James continues to build momentum heading into November. A new poll shows James and Democrat Jocelyn Benson statistically tied in the race for Governor. James is closing in on Jocelyn Benson and building a broad coalition around his message of common sense, lower costs, better schools, safer communities, and making Michigan a place where families and businesses can thrive.
