ICYMI: CANADIAN HAS MORE RESPECT FOR ELECTION INTEGRITY THAN JOCELYN BENSON

JOCELYN BENSON’S DEFINITION OF “EXPANDING ACCESS TO DEMOCRACY” — LETTING NON-CITIZENS VOTE

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI — A Canadian citizen living in the United States has reported receiving not one but two voter registration cards in Michigan and we only know about it because she did the right thing and alerted the media and election officials herself.

Jocelyn Benson (D-Pittsburgh) loves to talk about “expanding access to democracy.” But Michigan voters are starting to understand exactly what that means. It means allowing at least 16 non-citizens to vote in our elections and it means sending voter registration cards to people who are not eligible to vote. It ironically also means blocking a citizens only voting ballot initiative that over 700,000 Michiganders wanted on the ballot.

This news comes as Jocelyn Benson is running to be Governor of Michigan while simultaneously overseeing her own election as Secretary of State. The fox is guarding the henhouse.

“A Canadian has more respect for American elections than Jocelyn Benson. Let that sink in,” said John James. “Corruption, incompetence, or both? She cannot be trusted with your vote. She cannot be trusted to run our state.”

— John James

John James has been clear throughout this campaign. Only American citizens should vote in American elections. As Governor John James will conduct a comprehensive independent audit of Michigan’s voter rolls to eliminate non-citizens from voting, strengthen Michigan’s election integrity, require citizenship verification and make sure only legal votes are counted.

Michigan voters deserve a Governor with integrity they can trust. Jocelyn Benson has proven she is not that person.
