SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Candice S. Miller, Macomb County Public Works Commissioner, former U.S. Representative, and former Michigan Secretary of State, today endorsed John James for Governor of Michigan, citing his proven record of delivering results for Michigan families and his unwavering commitment to restore economic opportunity, accountable government, and public safety across the state.
Miller is widely regarded as the most accomplished elected official in Macomb County history and one of the most respected statewide leaders Michigan has produced in a generation. She co-chaired John James’ first congressional campaign and has watched him deliver for his neighbors in Macomb County and all around Michigan ever since.

Miller’s endorsement reflects a simple truth shared by leaders across Michigan: John James is the one who gets it done. The Police Officers Association of Michigan has endorsed James, standing with him on public safety and the rule of law. Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, a statewide Parents Coalition, state lawmakers, and grassroots leaders from the Upper Peninsula to the Ohio border have all joined the movement.
