Anchored in Michigan’s core values of hard work, faith, and family, John proudly serves as Congressman for Michigan’s 10th District in Macomb and Oakland Counties, fighting for working families.
A West Point graduate, John served eight years in the U.S. Army as a Ranger-qualified aviation officer. Leading Apache helicopter platoons in Operation Iraqi Freedom, he logged over 750 combat hours, earning a Combat Action Badge and two Air Medals. His military service instilled a deep commitment to duty, discipline, and putting others first.
Returning home, John led his family’s business, James Group International, growing it from $35 million to $137 million in revenue and creating over 100 Michigan jobs. With a master’s in supply chain management from Penn State and an MBA from the University of Michigan, John brings real-world expertise to tackle Michigan’s economic challenges.
Since his election to Congress in 2022, John has been a fierce advocate for American workers, energy independence, and national security. He’s championed legislation to strengthen supply chains, support law enforcement, protect critical minerals, combat addiction, and oppose harmful EV mandates.
As a proud ally of President Donald Trump, John has advanced the America First agenda to restore strength to our economy, borders, and military.

He’s committed to making Michigan a place where families can thrive by tackling rising housing costs, lowering the tax burden, and addressing healthcare expenses. John’s vision for Michigan is clear and disciplined: academic excellence, economic opportunity, and safe communities where families feel secure. He’ll put kids and families first when it comes to education, cut job-killing regulations, fully fund and support law enforcement, and prioritize Michigan workers and families. In Lansing, John will audit wasteful DEI programs, eliminate foreign influence in our institutions, and rebuild trust in government.
Residing in Shelby Township with his wife Elizabeth and their three sons, John has flown combat missions, built a thriving Michigan automotive supply chain business, and fought for us in Congress. He is now running to secure Michigan’s future, ensuring every family can achieve the American Dream.
