JOHN JAMES: THIS ELECTION ISN’T RED VS. BLUE. IT’S RIGHT VS. WRONG.

James calls on Michiganders to put country over party, stand against extremism, and put the PEOPLE first.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI – On the eve of Election Day, John James is calling on Michiganders to put COUNTRY OVER PARTY and come together to save Michigan. James reminds this election isn’t simply about Republicans versus Democrats. It’s about standing up for what’s right, rejecting dangerous extremism, and electing a leader who will fight for ALL Michiganders, regardless of their political party, race, color or creed.

“You don’t have to be a Republican to want better schools, safer neighborhoods, or more money in your pocket. And you certainly don’t have to be a Republican to reject antisemitism, hatred, and extremism,” said John James. “Tomorrow, this election is bigger than red versus blue. It’s about putting country over party, standing up for American values, and choosing a leader who will put the people first. Michigan deserves better, and tomorrow, we have a chance to change its future.”

— John James

But after eight years of failed leadership in Lansing, Michigan families are paying more, our kids are falling behind, and jobs and opportunities are leaving our state. Instead of offering a new direction, Jocelyn Benson (D-Pittsburgh) has embraced Abdul El-Sayed and a divisive, far-left agenda that would take Michigan even further down the wrong path.

Even Democrats are beginning to recognize just how far their party has strayed from the values of everyday Michiganders. Haley Stevens demonstrated that putting country over party means being willing to stand up against extremism, even when it comes from within your own party.

But Jocelyn Benson? She’s been loud about her continued support for Abdul El-Sayed, but silent when it comes to the controversies surrounding him. El-Sayed couldn’t say whether Iran or Israel poses a greater threat to America and campaigned alongside Hasan Piker, who said America deserved 9/11. Benson has had every opportunity to address these concerns and condemn the rhetoric. Instead, she’s doubled down on her support.

As a combat veteran who served in Iraq, James understands that service to country comes before politics. On the battlefield, he didn’t ask the people he was fighting to protect whether they were Republicans or Democrats, or what religion they practiced. He served because they needed help. That’s the same commitment he intends to bring to Lansing: standing up for what’s RIGHT, even when it’s politically inconvenient.
